AERPAW is hiring!
The team at North Carolina State University is actively recruiting candidates for a new AERPAW Platform Director position. While the research directors for the platform will remain heavily involved in development going forward, the platform will move its day-to-day operations into the Office of Information Technology (OIT) Communications Technologies unit. The new Director will work within OIT and will serve dual roles. This position will direct the AERPAW platform and oversee operations, development, and outreach for the project. They will also lead the development of the platform as a qualified North American OTIC using conformance testing to ensure products and solutions are compliant with O-RAN specifications.
- Anticipated Hiring Range: Commensurate with experience ($120,000-$150,000)
- Work Schedule: Monday-Friday; 40 hours weekly flexible around core business hours 8:00 am-4:00 pm
- Job Location: Raleigh, NC
The director will maintain and promote continued growth of the research testbed and actively interact with the O-RAN and OTIC communities serving as a primary representative of the University. Duties will include leading maintenance, improvement, and strategic planning for growth, enhancement, and fiscal sustainability of the AERPAW and OTIC facilities, resources, and programs.
The director will lead efforts to generate revenue through recruiting and retaining users for the platform, build partnerships to ensure market growth in the business and research sectors, and negotiate the use of the platform for grant opportunities with the academic community.
