Highlights:

  • POWDER announces the release of new open source 5G capabilities as part of the testbed’s recently installed dense network deployment. The new offering combines open source OAI software with SDRs that are equipped with a custom designed radio frequency (RF) frontend.
  • COSMOS becomes the second North American Open Test and Integration Center (OTIC) as designated by the O-RAN Alliance.
  • Two new papers from the AERPAW team provide extensive results and detailed analysis of spectrum occupancy measurements taken with a helikite flying up to an altitude of 180 meters.
  • ARA has completed deployment of Ericsson mmWave and mid-band massive MIMO platforms (AIR 5322 and AIR 6419) at two farm sites.
