Highlights:
- Get ready for an in-person POWDER-RENEW Mobile and Wireless Week event in January with lectures, tutorials, and hands-on exploration of the POWDER platform. The workshop event is scheduled for January 23-27, 2023.
- In collaboration with volunteer organization NYC Mesh, the COSMOS team is helping to expand Internet access to underserved households in upper Manhattan and Harlem.
- The AERPAW team has begun testing new user endpoints for use with their on-site Ericsson base station operating in the 3.4 GHz band. The Quectel 4G/5G modem and Samsung S21 Ultra will enable physical layer and above experiments with the Ericsson equipment.
- ARA’s radio access network, AraRAN, is now fully deployed with four Phase-1 fixed node sites complete. The ARA team has also achieved the first end-to-end integration of a field-deployed portal UE with one base station and data center controller.
